What is Robinhood Chain?

An Ethereum layer 2 built on the Arbitrum Orbit stack, with gas paid in ETH and roughly 190 tokenized US stocks and ETFs trading on it around the clock. Bucket Shop is built on it, and every Drop it pays is one of those tokens.

The basics

A normal EVM chain with unusual assets on it.

If you have used Arbitrum or Base, this will feel familiar. It is an EVM chain, you pay gas in ETH, and standard tooling works against it. Blocks land in about a tenth of a second and there is no public mempool, so a transaction is not sitting in the open waiting to be front run.

Stock Tokens

What actually trades here.

Robinhood issues ERC-20 tokens that track listed equities and ETFs. Around 190 names are live, from AAPL and NVDA to GLD and SPY. They move like any other token: you hold them in your own wallet, send them to anyone, and trade them in Uniswap pools on the chain.

  • They are not brokerage shares. No voting rights, no dividend payments to your wallet. They track the price of the listed security.
  • They carry a multiplier. Corporate actions such as splits are handled by a per token multiplier rather than by reissuing, so the amount a token is worth can be adjusted at the registry level.
  • Liquidity varies a lot. The large names have deep pools. Many do not. Always check depth before sizing a trade.
  • They are issued under a non US framework at the issuer level, even though transfers on chain are permissionless today.

The canonical list of every asset and its contract address is published by the issuer at api.robinhood.com/rhj/assets. Bucket Shop mirrors it at indexer-api.bucket.markets/assets, and the full shelf with live prices is on the home page.

What you can do

Three things people actually use it for.

1
Hold and trade tokenized stocks

Buy a stock token in a Uniswap v4 pool and hold it in your own wallet. No account, no market hours gate on the chain itself, though liquidity thins out when the underlying market is closed.

2
Provide liquidity

Uniswap v4 is deployed on the chain and the stock pools earn fees. This is real market making with real risk: a concentrated position goes one sided when price leaves your range.

3
Get paid in stock for holding a token

That is what Bucket Shop does. A 3% fee on every BUCKET trade buys tokenized stocks and sends them to holders' wallets once a share crosses $2. How it works →
